Seems former Houston Rockets guard Calvin Murphy, who holds that distinction, is rather fond of it and is willing to do whatever possible to make sure he keeps the mark.

Calderon has not missed a free throw since April 11 of last season. That's 62 successful free throws. This season, he is a perfect 59-for-59 after not making a trip to the line on Saturday in San Antonio.

Over the 1980-81 season, Murhpy was successful on 206 of his 215 free throws -- an amazing 95.8%.

Thirteen seasons later, Denver's Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf went into Houston on the final day of the regular season having hit on 96% of his 227 attempts.

When Abdul-Rauf went to the line for the first time in the final minutes, Murphy stood up from his courtside seat and performed a little voodoo hex. Abdul-Rauf missed and Murphy did a celebratory dance.

Calderon can probably expect the same treatment should his flawless free-throw shooting continue into March.

The record for consecutive successful free throws is held by Michael Williams, who hit 97 in a row from March 24- Nov. 9, 1993, while playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Raptors will have their hands full trying to keep Los Angeles Clippers' Marcus Camby off the glass. The former Raptor pulled down a career-high 27 rebounds against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. Camby is not just getting the job done on the glass. He also is averaging a double-double in his past five games.
