Los Angeles Clippers Notes, Quotes 2009-10-08

Los Angeles Clippers Notes, Quotes 2009-10-08--F Blake Griffin is being kept out of practice due to a sore knee, but is expected to re-join the team in a couple of days. Clippers Head Coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. said Griffin may end up sitting out up to five or six days and added, "However long it takes for the bruise to go down. So we'll just see."

Griffin himself didn't appear to be in any serious pain as he took a couple of moments to speak with the media at the team's practice gym in Playa Vista, saying, "I'm obviously relieved it wasn't anything serious. It's just sore."

--F Craig Smith, who had a knee-to-knee accidental run-in with Griffin during a workout at the Playa Vista facility on Thursday, is not injured. Griffin wasn't aware of where he ran into Smith, recalling of the incident, "I don't know where I hit him," while head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. surmised that Smith avoided an injury because of where on the knee he collided with Griffin, saying, "Those things are always about location, location."

Smith was acquired during the summer from the Minnesota Timberwolves and is an Inglewood, California native.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I don't care if I'm horrible, if I shoot 20 percent from the free-throw line. I just want to play 65 to 70 games this year. I just wanna play consistent minutes and I don't want to be injured. I'm blessed to be here in this position." -- C Chris Kaman.
