 --G Sebastian Telfair showed flashes of excellence in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He finished with 12 points, four assists and five rebounds and was instrumental in rallying the Clippers back from a 12-point deficit in the third and fourth quarters. His clutch jumpers allowed starting point guard Baron Davis to get some extra rest, and the team will benefit greatly if he can avoid mistakes like fouling Dallas' Jason Terry on a 3-pointer at the end of the first half while getting his teammates involved and scoring when necessary. --F Al Thornton had an up-and-down performance vs. Dallas. He finished with six points and six rebounds and had trouble converting inside in the first quarter, as he had a couple of shots sent back by the Dallas bigs. Thornton has yet to have a breakout game in 2009-10, and the Clippers will need him to be the scorer he was last season as Blake Griffin recovers from his injury.
