Los Angeles Clippers Notes, Quotes 2009-11-15

Los Angeles Clippers Notes, Quotes 2009-11-15--F Marcus Camby found success guarding Toronto's Chris Bosh early in Friday's setback to the Raptors. Camby challenged Bosh's drives and shots and kept the high-volume scorer in check, saying "(I'm) just trying to put a hand (on Bosh). He's a terrific player. He's an All-Star. Just trying to make every shot he take a tough one."

However, Camby was unable to slow down the Toronto big man in the second half, and unexpectedly alluded to this and the team's eventual struggles with containing Bosh at halftime: "Second quarter, Toronto got going a little bit, started getting offensive rebounds, so we gotta clean up the glass."

--F Steve Novak had an itchy trigger finger in Friday's home loss to the Raptors. He fired up five quick shots in the second quarter, making a wide-open three-ball and a two-point jumper, but due to his resilience, he ended up with a season-high 10 points. He also had a nice deflection on a potential inside scoring attempt by Toronto's Andrea Bargnani. Novak, who has spent most of the season glued to the bench, made the most of his time on the court, and any defensive contributions he can make moving forward will be an asset to the bench.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "The biggest concern was some of the early baskets they got on our coverages. Guys slipped to the basket and got lay-ups." -- Head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. talking about the Clippers' struggles with the Raptors in the first half that eventually doomed the squad in a loss Friday.
