--In each one of his NBA coaching stops, Mike Dunleavy has listed
defensive deflections as one of his key game statistics. According to Dunleavy, he rarely has coached a game where his team had 30
deflections but lost. Eight deflections by an individual would be
considered a solid defensive night. So, Dunleavy was blown away when
guard Cuttino Mobley came up with 15 deflections in the win over
Oklahoma City. Dunleavy said afterward that it was the most
deflections that any individual that he has coached has had in any game.
--The Clippers recorded several team season highs in their victory
over the Thunder. The 108 points is the most that they have scored.
The 59 second-half points is the most that they have scored in any
half. The 14 steals was three more than the previous high of 11,
achieved against Denver. The 11 turnovers by the Clippers were the
fewest that they have had in any game. Finally, their 20-point victory
margin was their largest, although it only was their second win of the
season.
