--The acquisition of Zach Randolph was made to boost the Clippers' anemic offensive attack. Presently, they rank above only two teams in points scored per game and they are 26th in field-goal percentage. Shockingly, the Clippers are next-to-last in free-throw percentage. Under coach Mike Dunleavy, they have not ranked lower than fifth the past four seasons. Not surprisingly, the Clippers ranked 28th in the NBA in three-point field-goal percentage. That has been an area of weakness for the past five seasons. --The Clippers' streak of not shooting 50 percent or better from the field now has reached 22 consecutive games this year. Dating back to last season, the Clippers now have a streak of 31 straight games in which they have failed to make at least half of their field-goal tries. QUOTE TO NOTE: "Nothing in this league surprises me. They traded Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, didn't they?" -- Clippers guard Jason Hart.
