PLAYER NOTES: --F Al Thornton returned to the lineup following a one-game absence with a sore right shoulder. Thornton had been bothered by shoulder soreness for several games before sitting out the Clippers' recent loss at Toronto. Thornton made 4-of-6 field-goal tries in a 20-minute stint off the bench Monday.
--C Chris Kaman played with the second unit again, a move that enables coach Mike Dunleavy to better control Kaman's minutes. Kaman only played 18 minutes against Boston but was quite productive, with eight points and seven rebounds.
--F Steve Novak ranks among the top 20 three-point field-goal percentage shooters in the NBA but over the past few weeks, Novak has been the league's hottest shooter from beyond the arc. Including his 3-of-6 shooting night against Boston, Novak has made 27-of-45 three-pointers over the past seven games.
