--C Chris Kaman was effective offensively versus whoever was guarding him on his way to 19 points. But his stiff-legged defense was exploited at times by San Antonio's Tim Duncan on straight drives to the rim.

--F Al Thornton appeared confused after air-balling a jumper on an isolation play. He may need to be told when plays are designed for him in the future.

--F Craig Smith had trouble playing defense properly. He had three fouls in eight minutes of play.

--F Blake Griffin (stress fracture in left kneecap) is out until at least mid-to-late December.
