ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Baron Davis, Shooting guard Eric Gordon, Small forward Al Thornton, Power forward Marcus Camby, Center Chris Kaman. Bench -- Guard Mardy Collins, Forward Zach Randolph, Forward Steve Novak, Guard Mike Taylor, Center DeAndre Jordan, Forward-Center Paul Davis.
PLAYER NOTES: --G Eric Gordon will get a chance to build off his season-high 25 points scored in the Clippers' loss to the New Orleans Hornets. With Cuttino Mobley now with the New York Knicks and Ricky Davis hurting physically and with his jump shot mysteriously having deserted him, Gordon figures to get substantial minutes.
--G Mardy Collins will have to work from the ground up in order to slide into the regular rotation. Right now, there does not appear to be any room for him, even though coach Mike Dunleavy gave Collins an early look in the first quarter against Denver. In nine games with the Knicks, Collins averaged 2.2 points in 8.3 minutes per game.
--F-C Marcus Camby has led the NBA in blocked shots three times, so it is not surprising that he currently ranks second, behind Orlando's Dwight Howard. Realistically, Camby probably has no chance to overtake Howard, who is averaging nearly two blocks per game more than the Clippers' defensive stalwart.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G-F Ricky Davis (tendinitis in his left knee) has missed the past two games. It is a rarity for Davis to be out of action. Since the 2001-2002 season, Davis has played in 576 games out of a total possible of 588.
--C Chris Kaman (strained left arch) played against the Denver Nuggets, despite being less than 100 percent.
--G Jason Hart (flu-like symptoms) was not at the arena for the Nuggets' game.
--F-C Brian Skinner (flu-like symptoms) was not at the arena for the Nuggets' game.
