ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Baron Davis, Shooting guard Eric Gordon, Small forward Al Thornton, Power forward Zach Randolph, Center Brian Skinner. Bench -- Forward/center Paul Davis, center DeAndre Jordan, Guard Jason Hart, Forward Steve Novak, Guard Mardy Collins.
PLAYER NOTES: --G Baron Davis has scored in double figures in every game except one. But Davis, who averaged over 20 points per game the last two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, is scoring less as a Clipper. His scoring average is 18.0 and he has had nine 20-point scoring games out of the 27 he has played. Davis is in a horrid shooting slump. He has made 29 of his last 98 field-goal tries.
--G Jason Hart has moved firmly back into the rotation off the bench as the primary backup to G Baron Davis. "Coaches are like that," Hart said. "To them it's, 'Forget about the past, I need you now.' Coaches talk bad about players in their meetings but players talk bad about coaches in their meetings. That's the NBA."
--F/C Brian Skinner won't help the Nielsen ratings on Christmas Day because he won't be watching the Los Angeles Lakers-Boston Celtics nationally televised game, which pits the teams that met in last spring's NBA Finals. "I'm not turning the TV on at all," Skinner said. "I'm spending time with my family."
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Zach Randolph (bruised left knee) was injured in the fourth quarter against Toronto and his status will be known after he is evaluated.
--C Chris Kaman (plantar fasciitis in his left foot) remains out until at least early January.
--G Ricky Davis (tendinitis in his left knee) said he likely would not be back until mid-January. "It's still a little tender," Davis said. "But it's a long season, so I'm going to wait until it's fine."
--G Mike Taylor (fractured right thumb) probably won't be back in action until after the All-Star break in mid-February.
