PLAYER NOTES: --G Ricky Davis has been suspended for five games, without pay, for violating terms of the NBA/NBAPA anti-drug program. The suspension, however, won't commence until Davis is physically able to play.
--F Paul Davis made his first start of the season and scored a career-high 18 points in the loss to Sacramento. It marked only the second start in Davis' three-year career. Davis already has played more minutes this year than he did in either of the past two seasons.
--G Fred Jones could end up being a nice early-season pickup for the Clippers but he's very rusty, evidenced by the 1-of-9 field-goal shooting performance he had against Sacramento.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Ricky Davis (tendinitis in his left knee) expects to be out probably until mid-January. But once he is cleared medically to play, he faces a five-game suspension.
--G Mike Taylor (fractured right thumb) will watch games from the bench until at least mid-February.
--C Chris Kaman (plantar fasciitis in his left foot) remains on a day-to-day status but likely won't play until early January.
--F Zach Randolph (strained left knee) will miss a minimum of two weeks and possibly more time.
