Los Angeles Clippers Roster Report 2009-01-30

Los Angeles Clippers Roster Report 2009-01-30
Rotation: Starters -- Point guard Fred Jones, Shooting guard Eric Gordon, Small forward Al Thornton, Power forward Brian Skinner, Center DeAndre Jordan. Bench -- Guard Baron Davis, Forward-Center Marcus Camby, Forward Steve Novak, Guard Ricky Davis, Forward-Center Brian Skinner.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Baron Davis was a welcomed sight back in lineup, after missing the previous 13 games with a bruised tailbone and later a strained hamstring, when he was rehabilitating from the tailbone injury.

--F Marcus Camby supposedly was not going to play for at least two more games, to allow his sprained left ankle more time to heal. But with five minutes to go in the first quarter against the Chicago Bulls, Camby checked into the game at the same time that Baron Davis checked in. Camby had missed the previous five games.

--F Al Thornton's shooting has tailed off after a three-game stretch in which he made 24 of 41 field-goal tries. In his most recent four games, Thornton has made 33 of 83 from the field.

MEDICAL REPORT:

--C Chris Kaman (plantar fasciitis left foot) will not be able to make a return before the All-Star break as was hoped. Kaman has not played since Nov. 26.

--F Zach Randolph (bruised bone left knee) said he planned to begin practicing before the end of the week with the hope that he will be able to play at some point during the Clippers' upcoming seven-game road trip.

--G Mike Taylor (fractured right thumb) said he is doing extensive range-of-motion and strengthening exercises with his right hand. Taylor said it likely would be a week or two following the All-Star break before he is able to play again.
