PLAYER NOTES: --F Al Thornton returned to the starting lineup Saturday after missing three games with a sore arch and then coming off the bench in the previous game against Sacramento. One area that Thornton needs to improve on is drawing contact on his drives to the basket so that he can get to the free-throw line more often.
--G Mike Taylor tied his season high with 13 points in the loss to Charlotte, but the rookie also had four of the team's 15 turnovers.
--C Marcus Camby grabbed 13 rebounds against Charlotte but inexplicably took only two shots. He made both tries, but Camby needs to get more field-goal opportunities.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--C Chris Kaman (plantar fasciitis left foot) now has missed 45 of the team's 60 games.
--G Mardy Collins (plantar fasciitis right foot) has been struck with the same ailment that has sidelined Chris Kaman.
--G Fred Jones (sore lower back) is listed as day-to-day.
--G Eric Gordon (sore left shoulder) missed his third consecutive game.
